This qualification is registered on the occupational qualifications’ framework within the NQF and consists of the following three components:
• Knowledge modules
• Practical modules
• Workplace modules
Each of these components consist of several modules that you must complete.
Knowledge Modules – 8 credits:
• KM-01: Principles of customer service
• KM-02: Principles of recording transactions and processing of payments
• KM-03: Concepts and generally accepted methods for cashing up
Practical Modules – 7 credits:
• PM-01: Communicate with customers
• PM-02: Operate Point of Sale
• PM-03: Cash up PoS and control change
Work-based Modules – 20 credits:
• WM-01: Processes and procedures of interacting with customers
• WM-02: Processes and procedures recording transactions and processing payment
• WM-03: Processes and procedures of balancing takings and controlling change
